It was exactly one week before Halloween night. The only downside to all of this is report cards come out today. I just wish they would mail it home so I could grab my jacket and go. That way there would be no embarrassment about how many Ds I got. Saturday morning we got up to go costume shopping. I've always admired vampires, so I just got some face paint, a cape, and some spray-on hair dye. Halloween is gonna be so fun; going from door to door trick-or-treating, overloading on candy. Ugh I cant wait ! Since we have a jack-o-lantern contest every year, we have to splurge on pumpkins and candles every time. My little sister is always whining about carving her own pumkin, but my mom won't let her because she cant cut an orange using a butter knife without cutting herself. I swear to goodness that she gets on my last nerve. When we got home, everyone was hanging ghosts and ghouls in their yards and on their porches. I wonder what it would be like if we went around tee-peing peoples houses. My friends Sha, Serina, and I went trick-or-treating and afterwards, I went to a halloween party. We were playing music and arguing over who was better at "Jerkin" and let me be one to say that I'm good, but not that good. Oh the embarassment. But in the end, we all ended up having a blast. Then came along, as if it were right around the corner, Thanskgiving, when the harvest is at its most plentiful. Boy did we feast. My grandfather went hunting, and we ended up with the best of the lot. We had turkey, ham, candied-yams, greens, cabbage, bar-b-qued ribs, chicken, cake, porkchops, and I think there was some squash. But there is one thing my family has learned about food; when there's a lot of food, you need to have discipline. Otherwise you are asking for overstuffed cramps. Right now were experiencing a little rain and a couple tornado warnings, but as long as we have eachother, we know that we'll be okay. So as the hurricanes end and the animals prepare for hybernation, fall ends with a silent air.

The first big event in October is homecoming. Crazy teens do all sorts of things during this week such as shaving cream, go egging, and rolling trees with toilet paper till midnight under the full moon. Towards the end of the week on that Friday is the homecoming football game. Before the game starts, the girls have escorts that walk them out. Then they crown the homecoming queen and runner-up. After they crown the queen a lot of kids cheer. Next the cold starts to come and the leaves change red, orange, and yellow. It is pretty, but they start to fall, and you have to do yard work, raking the leaves up. Although raking leaves does not bring much happiness to me, Halloween is coming, which is fun. The little kids dress up in costumes. Our church holds Harvest Share. It is safe and fun. People like to decorate for the fall or Halloween. Some people like carving pumpkins and put candles in them for spooky decorations to scare people. Then comes Halloween night when its dark, there are a lot of masks out. Some people go as ghosts to get their treats. Some people go in the bathroom to see if the Bloody Mary myth brings death, and some go to haunted houses. Then the night comes to an end. After that I think about basketball and Thanksgiving. When Thanksgiving comes my family watches the Thanksgiving Parade. There are usually a lot of balloons there. After we watch the parade for a little while, we eat. Our family comes to our house. They bring all sorts of food such as dressing, vegetables, ham, turkey, pumpkin pie, mash potatoes, and cake for my cousin's birthday. It is fun! That is usually what my fall is like.

Autumn Writing It is Halloween. Kids are carving pumpkins with parents. It is getting breezy out and people are wearing jackets. It is getting cold too. People are dancing while dressed in black and orange masks. People are wearing costumes, such as mummies, Bloody Mary, and spiders. Leaves are falling. It is a full moon. "Trick or treat," is said. Jack-O-Lanterns are glowing because of the candles. Rats are crawling, ghosts are prowling and the spooky dark terrifies the little ones. At fairs there are hay rides, football games, and basketball games. Parents rake lawns and do yard work. They also cook pumpkin pies. Schools hold homecoming. Teens roll and egg houses. While all this is happening, spiders fix their spider webs. November is finally here, there is a Thanksgiving Day Parade. There is a big crowd at the parade with lots of kids having fun. The people in the parade are passing out candy. They have lots of balloons that are shaped as turkeys and other stuff. The kids were all filled with happiness. In November I would think mashed potatoes are the national food.

Autum Poem Hanukkah, Christmas, Thanksgiving too Is part of this season that turns people blue Snuffles, and Coughing keeps us in for the day So we can't go outside to run and play You stay in the house thinking what to do Ask your brother but he's bored too There's nothing for him nor you You decide to put up the christmas tree So the joy of christmas will spread freely You're done putting up the tree and it's getting dark You and your family go outside to see the stars You see such a wonderful sight The night can be so wonderful For those that camp out The day is slowly coming to an end and you need some rest But you can't wait till tommorow for that loving Christmas Day The christmas day is here and all the others are sleep The presents are sitting in front of you and you want to take a peek Your mom sneeks up on you and scares you to half to death You and her sit together and open the wonderful gifts You are finally done and you have everything you wanted And you are astonoushed about everything you have You will remember this day because of all the fun you had

In autumn I do a lot of stuff. First of all, there's Halloween. On Halloween, I eat a lot of candy. There's also a lot of creepy spooky stuff like, witches, vampires, ghosts, crows, and skulls. I always wear a scary costume. I have parties during autumn too. I like eating a lot of different stuff too. Such as pie, turkey, soup, and chicken. I also like eating pudding, egg nog, stuffing, cake, and cocoa. During autumn people wear coats and hats. I wear long pajamas. It gets a little bit colder at Thanksgiving.I usually get a cold and have a runny nose in autumn. I also have chapped lips. That's when my family makes a fire in the fire place. We also put up a scarecrow in our yard. My sister tries to scare me by screaming, "boo." My favorite months are November and October because they are cold. Black is one of autumn's main colors. During autumn we have a lot of balloons and parades. There's also frost on the grass. My family goes bobbing for apples, while the farmers go harvesting. My sister also goes to her homecoming at school. They have lots of lights and candles at homecoming. They also have food like, fruit punch, brownies, and cake.

My Autumn Adventure My story begins in the month of October and the season fall ,a couple of weeks before Halloween. My birthday's coming up soon. I think that I would love to get some gloves, a new football, a new basketball , a new hat, a scarf, a jacket , and a sweater or hoody because it's cold. I hope I get everything I want. I have a suspicion that my parent's are throwing me a surprise party. Today when I came home from school and came through. When I walked I walked in my friends and family jumped out a jumped back a bit and laughed. We ate chicken, pie, candy and other treats. Later on my mom made some smoores and coco. I love the marshmallow she uses. The food that night was good. Let's skip to Halloween. I think it so awesome!!! I like to trick people by dressing up as a ghost, covered in fake blood, and jump out at people and scream boo. One of the my friend said I was so scary. I think we are going to Magic Screams tonight. I love to ride the thrill rides. They have posters of black cats & pumpkins. while we were there we rode alot of rides and played some carnival games. When we got home we put on the movie Nightmare on Elm Street 1. It made me fall asleep. Today's the first day of November. The leaves on the trees are beginning to change colors such as red and orange. I think I might go camping with my sister. We will bring chocolate & meat to cook over a fire. Let's skip to Thanksgiving. On Thanksgiving I felt togetherness. All of my relatives came and we ate turkey potato’s and corn. I was so happy to be with my family.
