The Pulaski County Special School District believes in an expanding approach to the social studies program. The program will enable students to have continuous progress in the study of human social behavior, social life, and social institutions.
By developing inquiry skills, students derive basic concepts from the disciplines of American government civics, economics, geography, and psychology. Student involvement in the multi disciplinary program provides experiences that enable the individual to make accountable value judgments concerning self and others. The district’s ultimate for the student is that each will become a productive, participating citizen of the community, state, nation, and world.
